Unlike other expensive and disruptive improvements, enhancing attic insulation is a straightforward, one-day job that often proves to be the most economical upgrade for your home. If your property was built before 2011 and you haven’t previously received a grant for attic insulation, you may qualify for automatic grant assistance of up to €1,500.

You are a homeowner, including private landlords, whose home was built and occupied before 2011. Your home either achieves a minimum B2 BER rating or your heating system and attic insulation comply with Building Regulation standards.
The SEAI team will review the grant application to ensure the proposed installation meets the eligibility criteria. If it qualifies, the SEAI will issue a grant offer letter and a grant agreement, which must be signed by the recipient.
